Off the Record Pittsburgh is a union run non-profit that produces an annual musical satire to raise money for the Greater Pittsburgh Regional Food Bank. My main duty as a member of the Steering Committee is to layout the program every year including a custom designed cover.
One of my favorite sections to put together at the Post-Gazette was Sunday goodness. I made a custom lede illustration for this special edition that included reader submissions of their favorite summer memories.
The faculty at Point Park University are also members of the Newspaper Guild of Pittsburgh. During the strike, the advisor to the student newspaper, The Globe, asked me to conduct a design workshop for students on her staff. This is the instructional booklet I put together to go along with the workshop.
